[t.3] [p.47] [up there in that room... He points to the window above the porch...a gentle waltz is heard...]

[t.4] [p.48] [A cock crows lustily as LORELEEN appears in the doorway...]

[t.5] [p.52] [it's openin' its bake as big as a bayonet! The crow of a cock is heard in the distance.]

[t.6] [p.55] [while this poor brother sobbed on the scaffold, everyone heard th' mocking laughter...]

[t.7] [p.56] [and his father took to dhrink. The sound of a Corncrakes are heard...]

[t.8] [p.56] [Looka that now. See what it is to know! A commontion is heard in the house...]

[t.9] [p.59] [The head of the COCK with its huge, handsome crimson comb, is suddenly thrust...]

[t.13] [p.70] No one is in the garden, all, apparently having gone to see Julia away... in the distance is heard playing 'Star of The Sea' nic: 'Hail Queen of Heaven'...]
[Song autofades, then fade out birds at directors decision of diaglogue.]

[t.14] [p.76] [MAHAN goes over to the table with a forced swagger, and reaches out a cautions hand for the bottle.(NOT SCRIPTED! ADDED TO ACCENT LIGHTING EFFECT.)]

[t.15] [p.79] [I'm already as uneasy as th' place itself. A shot is heard and the tall hat is knocked from the wall...]

[t.16] [p.81] [The garden is suddenly enveloped in darkness for a few moments. A fierce flah of lightning shoots through the darkness...]

[t.17] [p.90] [While the excitement is at its height, a loud, long peal of thunder is heard...]

SCENE 3

[t.19] [p.94] [It is towards dusk in the garden now...In the distance, for some time, the sounds of drumming...]

[t.20] [p.96] [when it dies, 'll know its own way to hell. The roll of a drum and a great booing...]

[t.21] [p.98] [The house shakes; a sound of things moving and crokery breaking comes from it; flashes of lightning spear from the window...]

[t.22] [p.99] [The house shakes worse than before, and seems to lurch over to one side...]

[t.23] [p.100] [Don't run. They might want help. Screeches like those of barn owls are heard from the house...]

[t.24] [p.100] [The house shakes again, the flagpole totters and falls flat; blue and red lightning flashes and a great peal of thunder...]

[t.25] [p.103] [the scene suddenly goes dark, shots are heard, followed by a clash of thunder...]
